A culture and education training base for talented people opened on May 29 in Daxing district in southern Beijing. More than 60 officials, experts, and professional representatives participated in the event and visited an exhibition themed on talent culture.

The opening ceremony was one of the activities of Beijing talent publicity week.

The first of its kind in Beijing, the talent culture and education base aims to explore the talent-related culture, gather patriotic talents, and promote the capital city’s high-quality development.

Gui Sheng, deputy director of the Organization Department of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and director of the Beijing Talent Work Bureau, highlighted the importance of the base and expressed the hopes its construction seeks to fulfill.

Wang Youguo, head of the Daxing district government, delivered a speech at the event, introducing the district’s talents building, system and policy innovation, and the talent development environment.

The talent culture and education base is located in Daxing’s biomedical industry base and its mission includes publicity and display, talent work service, incubation and training, and Party spirit education. To show talent culture in a comprehensive way, the base is one of the measures Beijing has taken to support high-quality development of talents in the capital city.

There is a 3,000-square meter talent exhibition held at the base, showing the cultural tradition, development, achievements and the future progress of talents.

The stories of China’s atom and hydrogen bombs as well as man-made satellite founders, national top science and technology award winners, 100 reform pioneers and other outstanding talent deeds are shown at the exhibition.

The exhibition also provides the K5 immersive experience about the future of Beijing and the rapid development of the capital city.

Serving as an important carrier for the capital's talent work, the talent culture and education base will carry forward the district’s tradition of respecting talents and supporting their patriotic and hard work as they contribute to the new era.
