The 2019 First Summit of New Culture and Tourism Industry Investment in the Airborne Economy Era, with a theme of "New Opportunities for the Development of the Cultural and Tourism Industry", was held in Daxing on August 28.

More than 300 people including leaders from the Daxing government, the State-owned Cultural Assets Supervision and Administration Office, the China Tourism Research Institute and other government agencies discussed the development of the new cultural tourism industry.

At the summit, Daxing initiated the establishment of an air-borne cultural and tourism industry development alliance, and signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Bank of Beijing to help the development of cultural and tourism industries in the air-borne economic zone.

The alliance was co-established by the Daxing District Culture and Tourism Bureau, the China Tourism Research Institute, Overseas Chinese City Tourism Investment Management Group Co Ltd, the Beijing Airborne International Technology Research Institute, the Cultural and Economic Research Institute of the Central University of Finance and Economics and other organizations.

The alliance is expected to upgrade the economy, cultural and tourism industries near the Daxing airport.

An International Cultural Tourism Agglomeration Area will be established in Daxing

Beijing Daxing International Airport will be open in September 2019. The Airport Economic Zone has planned an area of 50 square kilometers, which is divided into three major zones for aviation logistics, science and technology innovation and service.

Daxing will build an international tourism distribution center and create a unique new business card for Daxing airport culture and tourism.

Ten cultural and tourism projects are to be established in airborne economic zone

At the summit, the Daxing Cultural and Tourism Bureau signed a strategic cooperation contract with Bank of Beijing Co to deepen the development of key cultural and tourism industries at the airport such as an air-borne economic zone, an international communication center, a convention and exhibition center, international hotels, theme parks, scenic upgrading, and leisure accommodation.

"Since the first investment projects of the Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone were officially released, we have reserved ten cultural and tourism projects, including Dubai Imar and Hanover Exhibition Company. These projects will lead the development of new formats around us," said an official from Beijing New Aerotropolis Holding Co Ltd.
