The new Beijing Daxing International Airport, located 46 kilometers south of the capital's downtown district, is expected to open on September 30, 2019.

NUCTECH, a world leading provider of advanced security and inspection solutions founded in 1997, has tailored a set of intelligent, efficient and safe inspection technologies and high tech image evaluation systems for the airport.

The company's advanced imperceptible inspection systems will be used for checking registered luggage, departing passengers, air cargo, and inward passengers, allowing for one-stop security and customs checks, thus streamlining the process.

Travelers will be able to pass through customs inspections faster and more seamlessly than ever before at the airport.

At the heart of the new airport's security inspection systems provided by NUCTECH, the registered luggage inspection security system is capable of having access to nearly ten external systems, dealing with departure, security inspection information, and baggage handling.

In addition, the registered luggage inspection security system adopts a sunken design, which means travelers won't need to line up or lift their luggage onto inspection machines.

At the new airport, all luggage from international flights will be scanned by high speed CT scan inspection machines before being loaded onto baggage carousels. The new machines developed by NUCTECH can scan 1,800 pieces of baggage per hour, detect explosives, and sound alarms automatically, which guarantees security and fully meets the new airport’s baggage security requirements. It can scan at twice the speed of traditional CT scan inspection machines.

Besides, the machines are equipped with a high tech image evaluation system that can flag suspicious luggage within two seconds.

After collecting their luggage, passengers pass through quarantine inspection gates. During the brief few seconds that passengers take to pass through any of the gates, sensors collect data on body temperature and test for radioactive materials. If any irregularities are detected, flap doors on either side of the passageway will be automatically closed and customs officers will be alerted.

To date, NUCTECH has been developing core technology independently and providing security inspection services for more than 450 airports worldwide.

The company has been committed to providing comprehensive security solutions to meet airport security needs. It makes use of the new technologies such as artificial intelligence, Internet and cloud computing to integrate them with security products, keep improving quality and efficiency of security inspection, and ensure safe and comfortable experience for travelers.
