Daxing holds tourism and cultural activities

The 27th Golden Autumn Tourism Culture Festival kicks off on September 4 in Lihua village, Panggezhuang town, south Beijing's Daxing district.

Centering on the theme of harvest, the annual event shared the joy of harvest with visitors in this golden autumn season.

A series of cultural activities and performances were staged to offer visitors best experience.

An allegro performance narrated how Panggezhuang has boosted rural tourism over the years with its rich agriculture resources and brought local people new sources of income.

A video on the new opportunities presented by the new airport was displayed during the activity.

In order to celebrate the official open of the Beijing Daxing International Airport on September 30, airlines representatives China Eastern Airlines and Okay Airways Company Limited organized activities at the cultural festival.

The event was inaugurated by officials from Daxing and leaders of the Panggezhuang government.

The iconic Chinese song “Me and My Motherland” was performed in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the People's Republic of China. The performances and activities were aimed at providing local people and visitors alike with a taste of Chinese culture.

Panggezhuang has seized the opportunities brought about by new airport and the construction of the Yongding river cultural belt to improve people's livelihoods.

Many visitors travel to Panggezhuang town to have a look at the area's famous pear trees.
