Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) will be the biggest airport in the world when it opens today. The airport's design is pioneering while its location, in Daxing district, is ideal for serving the Chinese capital and the neighboring areas of Hebei province and Tianjin. The new mega-airport is expected to handle up to 45 million passengers a year by 2021 and 100 million eventually.
