Now is a critical moment for curbing the spread of the novel coronavirus pneumonia. The Beijing Daxing District Civilization Office has a role in the fight against the disease, which is also named by WHO as COVID-19.

The office started offering online psychological consultation voluntary service on the WeChat official account - Civilized Daxing - together with the Daxing District Love Alliance Youth Development Service Center,  on February 5.

Users can get one-to-one online psychological consultation from psychological specialists by logging onto the official WeChat platform.

A total of 21 psychological volunteers were recruited after the online psychological consultation project was launched. The voluntary psychological team is composed of experts in mental health and other experts with rich experience in psychological consultation.

The volunteers offered psychological consultation free of charge for people carrying on the fight against the COVID-19.

The online WeChat psychological consultation aims to ease people’s anxiety due to the novel coronavirus outbreak and try to increase knowledge about epidemic prevention and control.

The psychological counselors show understanding and empathy for those who feel anxious and transform the fear and anxiety into comfort through professional counseling.

The online counseling services help people relieve psychological pressures.

Daxing will further increase its volunteer psychological service scope according to the different needs of the people and strive to stabilize their conditions.

With confidence and determination, Daxing will fight against the epidemic to protect people's lives and health.
