Beijing Yalugu Tropical Botanic Garden to reopen to visitors before May Day holiday

Beijing Yalugu Tropical Botanic Garden, a tourist attraction modeled on a distinctive Southwest China local culture, announced it is reopening to the public on April 29 after taking safety measures in the wake of the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Upon being approved to reopen, the garden introduced strict measures for epidemic prevention and control under the guidance of the local Daxing district government.

The tropical botanic garden is located in Changziying town of Daxing district, Beijing and it allows people who have not visited Southwest China’s Yunnan province to experience the authentic ethnic customs in the southwestern area of China as well as its ethnic group culture without leaving Daxing district. Its sightseeing facilities will fully open, including a tropical botanical museum, an ancient trees museum, a dinosaur museum, a children's maze, a jungle adventure park and a small zoo. In addition, the catering services will open as well.

The garden is well prepared to provide dedicated and improved services.

To avoid crowds gathering, the garden will strictly control the number of visitors and require all visitors to wear face masks and keep a safe distance from each other of at least one meter. Visitors will also have to sit apart while in sightseeing parks.

The garden’s intelligent information system provides zero-contact services for customers including entry to the attraction via QR code scanning and audio guides.

The Beijing Yalugu Tropical Botanic Garden is home to natural scenery. To welcome tourists back, it has carried out several upgrades to provide visitors with more traditional cultural experiences of southwestern area of China. These include the wetland park, ethnic dance-and-song performances and other entertainments.

As the largest tropical fruit plantation base in Beijing, the garden has the greatest number of species. Starting operation in October 2006, the garden covers a total area of 20 hectares with 50 gutter-connected distinct greenhouses of 64,300 square meters. Located 200 meters north of Zhuzhuang North Road of No 104 National Highway, it’s the perfect tour choice for locals and tourists alike.
