Beijing’s Daxing district rolled out a targeted online recruitment section for impoverished people from North China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, contributing to 15 job fairs that provided 8,929 jobs in total.

“We have connected the online recruitment channel to the (short message service) SMS platform, selected suitable positions for people in need, and sent notifications to them,” said an official.

Job seekers can view the information and submit resumes by just a few clicks if they want, and then their applications will be summarized and fed back to employers who may arrange online interviews with them.

Three county-level places from Inner Mongolia recently held job fairs simultaneously through the newly launched labor cooperation recruitment platform, during which 14 Beijing employers, including Rongde Human Resources and real estate developer Biguiyuan (Country Garden), provided 197 positions.

This measure overcame the distance problem and accurately connected both ends of the labor market. Meanwhile, it provided technical support for employers so that they can use the platform by themselves to offer more local or nearby jobs.

In order to deepen cooperation, Daxing vows to guarantee all the recipients’ benefits while they work in Beijing, and offers pair-up assistance to those who are in need.

The district has established a service station for employees from aided areas, and has sent questionnaires to ascertain their demands.
