A group of six projects stood outafter several rounds competitionsin the final of a cultural and creative contest in Beijing’s Daxing district on Aug 8.

In order to stimulate the local cultural industry, Daxing has rolled out special support policies for the award-winning projects, relying on the capital city’s culture and innovation promotion agency and the Beijing Cultural Industry Investment and Financing Association (BCIIFA).

Rent reductions or exemptions were offered to all the prize-winning projects. The contestant who won the first prize also has a chance to conclude a contract with a homegrown investment company.

At the activity, a cultural industry innovation development league was initiated by 15 excellent cultural enterprises.

Notably, Daxing and the BCIIFA struck a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will join hands for venture capital, project implementation, legal consultation, park operation and education and training.

The contest, first conceived in 2016, kicked off on July 25 this year by soliciting a record 86 cultural and creative projects.

Based on the competition, the district has built an interaction platform for policies, capital, and projects and cultivated a comprehensive cultural enterprise service system that promotes industrial transformation and upgrading.
