Daxing sees GDP rise 67.8 percent to $10 billion

Beijing's Daxing district ushered in a major development opportunity with multiple advantages, with its GDP in the first half of 2021 reaching 65.18 billion yuan ($10.04 billion), a year-on-year increase of 67.8 percent.

The main economic indicators continued to take the lead in the capital. The district's industrial output leaped by 234.3 percent year-on-year, amounting to 118.2 billion  yuan. Fixed asset investment was 43.93 billion yuan, and retail sales of physical goods rose to 32 billion yuan.

The district has made efforts to consolidate steady economic growth while maintaining momentum, and has been promoting the advancement of various people's livelihood undertakings in an orderly manner.
