About 800 hydrogen fuel cell buses equipped with engines from Beijing's Daxing district served the Beijing Winter Olympic Games as a good example of low-carbon operation during the event.

Supported by SinoHytec, China's leading fuel cell system manufacturer, they are able to start at minus two degrees Celsius, and their range with a single refuel can reach 300 to 500 km.

The world's largest hydrogen refueling station in the Daxing International Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Zone can receive 600 visits from the vehicles. During the Games, its average daily hydrogenation amount exceeded one ton.

In 2020, SinoHytec established a subsidiary corporation and headquartered it in the zone. Continued efforts will be made to promote the construction of networked hydrogen infrastructure. Three refueling stations are set to be built this year.
