The achievements on cultural and technological integration of Beijing's Daxing district have captured much attention at the 2022 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) which opened in Beijing on Aug 31.

Covering 620 square meters, the cultural exhibition area for countries along the Belt and Road in Shougang Park is home to dozens of booths of countries like Germany, UK and Japan and international organizations.

The exhibition area of Daxing  was designed to showcase its progress made in healthcare, new energy, aviation services and international consumption over the past few years through real-time interactive technology.

Three tourism routes were offered in the virtual experience zones. People can ride a hydrogen-powered bike to enjoy beautiful scenes, delicious food and culture along the district's central axis, or take an ecological tour by the side of Yongding River, or they can choose to go fruit-picking and sightseeing on the Pang'an Road.

On Sept 1, a group of foreign students from Peking University got a chance to learn about intangible cultural heritage in an experience zone.

A Hungarian student was impressed with the complexity to make guqin, a traditional Chinese stringed musical instrument, which involves over 100 specific procedures and demonstrates the essence of Chinese craftsmanship.

In addition, the enterprise display zones were crowded with parents and their children who were curious about the latest innovation-driven products.
