A meeting on the construction of a hydrogen energy industrial and academia integration base, sponsored by the Beijing University of Technology (BUT), in Beijing's Daxing district was held on June 20.

According to the meeting, the project is set to be located in the Daxing International Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Zone, with Zou Zhigang, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, serving as dean and chief responsibility specialist.

Professional R&D teams are working hard in the preparation of green hydrogen, with the help of key technologies such as high-performance hydrogen fuel cells, hydrogen fuel internal combustion engines, and storage and transportation of hydrogen energy.

In addition, Daxing Park of the Beijing University of Technology Science Park will strive to promote the transformation of achievements in collaboration with leading enterprises in hydrogen energy, and remove obstacles in the hydrogen energy industry chain.

During the event, Daxing district and BUT held a high-end forum themed on "Zero Carbon in the Future and Green Hydrogen in Daxing". A number of experts and scholars delivered academic speeches on the core technology and cutting-edge achievements in the field of hydrogen energy.

Participators included officials from Beijing municipal departments, leaders of Daxing district, entrepreneurs, and heads, academicians and teacher and student representatives of BUT.
